Well we have certainly had some interesting weather the past 10 days or so right? Everything but the white stuff and that will be here before we know it!

This particular newsletter may be different than what you are all accustomed to reading. To be honest, I have been struggling with writing this for several months.
I have been the Manager of the Gospelmen for nearly 15 years and would NOT trade those years for anything! I’ve had the pleasure of standing “side by side” with Godly men who, without a doubt, have forever changed my life! I thank God that Dave Potts, Steve Morris, Jeff Groat & Bill Milligan came into my life! Steve left us this past January and I still cannot come to grips with the fact that he has “gone home!”

Most recently Tim, Brian, RW, Todd & I have been forging forward for the cause of Christ singing Gospel Music! I know Tim usually writes this newsletter but I need to share some issues with you that Tim touched on a few weeks back. Please understand how difficult this is for me to write but I simply have no choice but to go to our Gospel Music family & friends!

First of all, the Gospelmen want to thank those who support us on a regular basis! More than that, we are humbled by the fact that you believe in what we do and want to be a part of this ministry. We would NEVER have made it this far without you!

For nearly a year, we were “bouncing” around trying to get our bus not only fixed but fixed correctly. Well, after 14 months & nearly $35,000.00 later, we are back on the road. Along with that amount, there are many other expenses that go along with being on the road like we are. Now you know where I am going with this letter.

The existence of the Gosplemen is at stake! We cannot continue without some type of help, this is a fact! We as a group agree to do more dates to offset this financial burden. We will be doing more dates in 2007 than we have done in 14 years! Praise the Lord!

Please know that we fully believe that your tithe, first and foremost, does indeed need to go back to your home church! As we mentioned in a previous newsletter, the Gospelmen are a 501(c)3 not for Profit Corporation. For any donation you make to the Gospelmen, you will receive a receipt for your contribution and you can claim this amount on your taxes.

We understand that you may say; “This is just another organization looking for a handout!” When you are a ministry that travels to churches on a free-will offering basis, many times that offering does NOT come close to meeting your expenses! You can contact any church on our schedule for the past 15 years and ask them if we have ever said the “offering was not enough, we need more!” I can honestly tell you that 100% of those folks would agree, that never happened! When individuals such as you support us, that in turn makes it possible for us to go to smaller churches.

Now, there are a couple different ways to support us with your finances:

  • Become part of our next CD by becoming a sponsor of a song. The cost of 1 studio track is approximately $200.00. With a donation of $200.00 you will be listed as a sponsor on the CD. As well as receiving the CD before anyone else has a chance to obtain one. We will also send you a Gospelmen T-Shirt!
  • Become a  Partner in Ministry with us. You can do this by being a monthly or one time supporter of our ministry.
    • If you commit to sending us $50.00 a month for 1 year, you will receive a Gospelmen Tote Bag & T-Shirt!
    • For a one time gift of $500.00 or more, you will receive a Gospelmen Tote Bag, T-Shirt & Cap!

Information about becoming a Partner in Ministry will be available on our website. Also on the website, you will find a form to enclose with your monthly or one time donation. Please read that information and pray about the decision to become a financial partner of the Gospelmen.

We believe there are several people who are able & willing to help us keep this ministry going! As well as those who cannot help financially but will commit to praying on a daily basis for the Gosplemen! Please send us an email telling us you will be praying for direction at this very crucial time. Send us an email saying you will make the Gospelmen a part of your daily prayer life!

In closing, I want to share this with you:

But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but With God all things are possible. Mathew 19:26

God bless each and every one of you! I so look forward to hearing from you soon!

Still Singing HIS Praises;

Gregg
